I am currently driving a 2006 Audi A3 Special Edition 1.6 auto petrol (31,000 miles) and my husband wants me to upgrade. We looked at a 2008 Mercedes CLS320 cdi (26,215 miles), the dealer is offering to part exchange allowing £6,000 for the Audi, they are selling the mercedes to us, through a PCP agreement, for £22,050.00 on a 3 year contract guaranteeing the value at just over £10,000 at the end of 3 years.This deal would bring our monthly payments to £295 which is less then we currently pay for the A3 on hire purchase (which is paid off in 2 months). It is affordable for us, but what I don't understand is what equity will we have at the end of 3 years to use as a deposit for another car?
I love the mercedes, gave it a thorough test drive today and cannot fault the car in any way. But I don't want to make a poor financial decision based on my love for luxury!

Forgot to add that the A3 has rear parking sensors as the only extra. The mercedes has a couple of extras and the dealer offered to have front and rear parker sensors installed.

I'm A Mother Who Needs Some Help?
I'm a mother of 8 children and you can probably tell from that, that I'm extremely busy, so I'm trying type this fast, so sorry if their are misspelling and grammar. Okay I'm 45 and happily married for 25years to a wonderful husband. we have 8 children 7 girls and one boy. 7 of my children still live at home, twin girls who are 18, and 17,16,14,13 year old daughters and a 8 year old son. My 17 year old daughter was adopted just incase you were thinking how could I have so many kids back to back.That's my family but here the situation. My family has just recently gotten custody of a 16 year family friend. His mother was my best friend and she was battling cancer and towards the end she realized she wasn't going to make it. And because she didn't have any relatives we decided my husband and I would get legal custody of Brady ( that's his name), it was little more complicated than that but, I'll spare the details.
Any way before Brady's mother passed away he 6 months ago he had been dating my 16 year old daughter Mercedes, for almost a year or so. So like I said 6 months ago after Brady's mother died he moved in with my family. He's been a great kid since moving. He gets along with everyone. He has been active in sports, he is verbally committed to USC for football. Or in simpler terms he is about to get a scholarship from USC baring any setbacks, And he's been at the top of his class in grades avg a 4.0 and I'm very proud of him. And the best thing about him is that I trust him. No the best thing about him is that he isn’t having sex with my daughter
My husband and I set rules for Brady and my daughter Mercedes since they are dating, like no sex, not going into each others rooms past a certain hour on weekdays. When they go into each others rooms no closed doors. no excessive kissing in the house. No cuddling around me or her dad, and more common rules you would set for a teenage couple living together. We are trying to control the situation as much as can without them feeling controlled.
But things have been going crazy with my family. My 18 year old daughter is an actress, and just recently landed her first big time role in a movie, my 17 yr old daughter is an aspiring singer who is traveling the states singing in small venues, and my other 18 yr old daughter is a model who is overseas right now doing a shoot. My husband is currently with her. So its just me with 4 teenagers and child to care for until my husband comes back home in about a month.
The problem is my daughter Mercedes, I am so disappointed in her, she’s becoming this person that I don’t like. I found out from Brady maybe about a month ago, that Mercedes had tried pot. I confronted her about it because I one of those people who thinks any type of drug is horrible and they ruin lives, and she told me it was a one time thing so I blew it off. But Brady kept trying to talk to me about it, and telling me he was concerned but, with all the other kids I just kind of put it off. I know that’s horrible parenting. Two weeks ago She I saw her smoking so I finally made an issue of it. I grounded her, I went through all of the dangers of drugs. After that she told me she hated me, and that I neglect her and that I don’t care about her. So she’s been mad, and I might have mentioned to her that Brady was telling me what was going on, so she’s been mad and wont really talk to him
I talked to Brady last week and he told me how Mercedes felt that like she was less than her older sisters and that she felt like she could never live up to them. And that felt that my husband and I loved everyone else more than her. Brady told me that Mercedes had told him that she felt jealous of him because she feels that we treat Brady more like family than her. She thinks I’m not proud of her. So I tried to talk to her about it and she refused to. Than she blew up at Brady for telling me and won’t talk to any of us.
When she stopped talking to the family, I could tell Brady was depressed and he’s been moping around the house because she wont talk to him until Friday of last week, everything seemed to calm down, Mercedes started talking to everyone, and she apologized for the way she had acted. That same night she and Brady wanted to go to a movie, when they came home they seemed fine, I didn’t really check. But about an hour and half at about 1 in the morning I heard them in our basement and I went down and see them kissing/having oral sex. and when I stopped it and talked to them I could smell the marijuana and alcohol. They reeked of it. But they were so “wasted” I grounded them then yelled at them the next day. I’m so disappointed in both of them.

I tried to talk to Brady and I asked him why he did it, and he told me because he wanted to do it, which I know is a lie because he wouldn’t look me in the eye, and he told me that it wasn’t fair because he feels that he has to choose Mercedes and lie to me or be honest and have Mercedes hate him.
I don't want to assume anything but, i know for a fact Brady wouldn't willing want to do drugs, because his aunt died of a drug overdose and i know he wouldn't willing jeopardize his football scholarship, the most important thing to him. i don't want to assume because he told me it was his choice but i feel like my daughter caused it to happen. i feel really close to him and i know that he didn't want to have sex or was at least waiting because he didn't want to ruin his teenage years with a pregnancy. he told me it was their first time. but, now he has been hesitate to talk to me anymore
What do you think I should do about this situation? And is their any advice you can give me?

My husband has a fully loaded 2010 S550 4MATIC and I have a fully loaded 2010 E350 4MATIC. Well he let's our 16 year old daughter drive them, and he says they are the safest car so there is nothing to worry. Well I worry because they both have big engines and I'm afraid someone is going to hurt her in order to steal the car. I don't want my daughter driving my husband's car, what can I do?
My husband met my daughter when she was 4 and he has been in her life every since. She never had much of a relationship with her real dad, because he was a jerk and he left. He later filed for divorce. My daughter has been calling my husband dad every since me and him were dating, so I understand there is a connection between them and he is like her real dad.However I do not appreciate him letting my daughter drive his cars. She is 16 and she is driving his Mustang,F-150 and Mercedes-Benz. He doesn't see any problem with it, but as a mother I do! They all have big powerful engines. I think it's unsafe for a 16 year old girl to drive powerful cars like that. This is really concerning me.
My husband on the other hand keeps telling me to relax. He says they all have top class safety, so I shouldn't worry. Well still, they have big engines...anything could happen. He said he trained her on how to drive those cars and that we have to trust her that she is going to drive it safely. How can we trust that a 16 year old girl is going to drive them safely? Even I get tempted to speed in those cars, they are so fast.
He thinks I'm worrying too much. He asked if I would rather let her buy a piece of shit car with her own money instead, but I don't want that either because she can only afford a bad car with 0-2 airbags and bad safety features. She doesn't make much. He also said if we buy a car for her, than that would be spoiling her even more because she will have more freedom. Right now she has to ask permission from him before she drives the cars and she has to fill up the tank.
She's still a daddy's little girl. I don't know what to do. I don't think my husband understands what I am going thru with this...can anyone help me?

I am trying to start my 83 Mercedes Benz 300SD with the key, not a screwdriver....?
...I am having fits! Where did I go wrong?I have charged the battery, done the diesel purge, checked fuel lines. I have replaced the transmission bushings, ignition switch, etc. I had had it starting with the key, but now can only start with screwdrivers near the starter. Previously, when I was starting with the key, we cleaned the engine. After that, it did not want to start at all.

I am looking into getting a new SUV (a 2011 model in late 2011) and I am just doing a little research.Please give me your opinion ON THE ONES I SAY ONLY, NO OTHER SUGGESTIONS.
1 Acura MDX (tech package), I like the power, room, safety and reliability.
2 Audi Q7 (3.0T) I am an Audi fan and I like this one, it has all of the options I want.
3 Toyota 4Runner (Limited 4x4) I like the nameplate, this one is not as luxurious as the others but I still would consider it.
4 Toyota Highlander (Limited AWD), average in most respects, it looks a little bland but nice
5 Nissan Armada (SL), if I wanted something a little bigger this would be it.
6 Nissan Xterra (SE), it offers a lot of power and cargo room if I wanted something smaller
7 A late entry the Mercedes-Benz ML350, I like the reliability of the brand, prestige and comfort of the vehicle.
So if it was your money what would you buy???

Is S400 Hybrid worth it?
My dad wants to get a brand new S-Class, the 2011 version when it comes out. When does come out by the way? Anyways, he has the money to buy a S65 but he also likes to save the environment. He wants a Mercedes-Benz for sure and he came across the S400 Hybrid. He read and watched a lot of reviews on it(the 2010 version) and they all said it wasn't as nice as S550, and it is a bit sluggish. Reviewers said it feels really slow.Here is the thing, we live in Michigan where there is 6 months of winter. It usually snows 2-3 times a week. Some people say if the driver is careful, a rear-wheel drive(S400 Hybrid) can handle the snow and some say it's dangerous. I know 3 people who totaled their rear-wheel drive in the snow, but they were all teenagers. If he gets a S550, it will be a 4MATIC. Also will people think that my dad couldn't afford a S550 if he gets the S400?
Also part of the reason he wants a S-Class is because well #1 it's the top selling and most popular luxury car in the world but also because it's used as state/president cars in Asia and Europe. Which one do they usually use? S550 or S600?
Is getting the S400 worth it? Would you get a S400 or S550 if you could afford it, even though S400 is more environment friendly? But S550 is environment friendly too right? I heard S550 uses recycled material and burns fuel cleaner than Toyota Prius, which is good for the environment.

How to adjust the stiffness of a mercedes 500sel suspension?
I bought an old 1985 Mercedes 500 SEL and the suspension is a little mushy. It occasionally bottoms out on larger bumps, especially with passengers. I have read around there may be a way to adjust the stiffness but i cant find where to do that, does any one know how. thanksSo, what can i do to improve the suspension or to keep from bottoming out. Driving AMG Mercedes in the winter?
I live in Minnesota where there's long winters and I think it would be nice to have a classy high performance vehicle like a 2004-2005 Mercedes AMG 4-door as a year round business car. In Minnesota I often see wealthy people driving very expensive luxury sedans in the winter (high end Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, even Rolls Royce). But I sorta would feel bad about driving such a nice car in the salt and snow as it might cause wear if not washed regularly. What do you guys think about that?I suppose luxury car makers intend their sedans to be year round vehicles but they're such nice expensive cars, I kind of wonder about that. Do wealthy people that own these cars just wash them weekly and does that prevent erosion pretty well? I really like the high performance AMG Mercedes Sedans that are beefed up like sports cars, but if they're just intended as a seasonal vehicle I'd much rather get a used AMG SL Roadster or Ferrari.

What should my first car be?
Ok Ive asked this question already but I wasn't specific enough. Ive been looking at luxury cars or sporty cars. I understand that insurance isn't going to be cheap no matter what I do. I really like Mazda RX8's and Mercedes or BMW type cars (luxury). Ive been told insurance will no matter what be a minimum of $3,500. If this incorrect please let me know and supply me with a possible insurance company. I have the money to afford an under $10,000 car and potentially the money on insurance. Also if there are any car opinions/suggestions, they're appreciated.Also is there any discounts on insurance, for example : same company as my dad, i have a high average in school, etc. Is there anything?

Mercedes - ML230 - Shuts off?
Hi - I have an ML230 and every few weeks - it shuts off on me while driving or wont start if parked.It's not a normal shut off - the entire car - battery and all don't work, seemingly out of nowhere. It's not the battery, not the alternator, not a fuse. How do i know? Besdies having it checked a few times by mechanics who can't figure it out because it's working fine by the time I bring it to them, it always STARTS The NEXT DAY EVERYTIME after the shut-off and works for a few more weeks. If any of your sollutions to this problem are commonly self reparing like this, than I would love to hear it. Otherwise, please believe that it's not those common easy things.
Has anyone ever heard of this? Or know what it is? Even a guess.
Again - it shuts off completley (no power or anything) and comes back on about 24 hours later.

Trying to fix up my rims on my car, without buying new ones! Any ideas?
I have a 2000 Mercedes c280. The rims are getting pretty dull and boring (they are stock, not chrome or fancy or anything). I try to keep them clean and well taken care of, but obviously after 10 years of city driving the salt hasn't done them any justice. I think what's going on is the clear coat is starting to chip and peel off and dirt is getting stuck underneath it. I just tried washing them as best as possible, but no real luck. I don't want to purchase new ones, as it's almost winter (I live in SD so winter + rims = no good!) but I am looking for something to do to make them look a little nicer. I was thinking possibly peeling off the rest of the clear coat, cleaning it, trying to spot paint any bad spots and re applying clear coat. Just straight up paint them? Does anyone have any ideas? I'm getting my license in 2 months, and have 2 choices of cars to chose from.My mom is set on me driving our Lincoln Navigator, it's about a 2001 version. She's into safety. The pro is that it doesn't go very fast, preventing accidents, but the con is it fits 7 people, and that can be a major distraction on the road, causing accidents.
My dad is set on me driving our SL 500 Mercedes-Benz, about 2003, 2004. He's also into safety. The pro is it's only a 2 seater, so less distraction. The con is it goes very fast, about 0-60mph in 4 seconds.
I would drive both, but they'll only let me drive one.
Which one should I drive?

Trying to decide between these two cars, the Mercedes has 50k miles on it and the Escalade has 30k. The Mercedes also has 15k in mods like the Klemann upgrade and has about 640 horsepower. i used to love the show when i was like 14 and 15 i thought it was so cool but now (im 16 btw) and i now i dont think it's that great of a show now theirs a UK version and i still watch the show but it dosent feel the same i can see how they are losers they are not the ''super rich'' heiresses and heirs they make-out they are most of them are from upper-middle class families who's parents throw them 6-figur parties (THOUGH SOME OF THE ''SUPER SWEETS'' are loaded) if you actually look at their houses and their furniture their not the Hilton's and Trump's they pretend of in most cases think they are just finished watching an episode and saw all their stuff it wasn't expensive or stylish stuff at all they might have designer clothes and drive luxury cars (mostly BMW's and Mercedes which are still great cars but arnt the Jags and Bentley's the REAL millionaires get around in) im not saying their not rich the just not the super rich minus 1 percent they think their simply well-to-do spoilt brats paris hilton-wannabezPytanie #47:
